Strengthening Family Relationships for Migrant Workers: Handout

Migrant workers are considered essential workers in BC, and despite the great need for them, they are often faced with a great deal of challenges and hardships. Little research on the mental health of migrant workers has been conducted, and yet we know that this vulnerable population, often times working in rural or remote areas, is susceptible to high levels of individual and family stressors. Many find themselves dealing with anxiety, depression, isolation, substance use, and domestic violence issues.
