Anti-Racism in Canada: Training

The National Roundtables for Migrant Worker Support Organizations took place on October 12 – 14, 2021. The following video showcases the professional development training session held on Day 3 of the Roundtables on the topic of racism. The session answers the following questions:

  • What is racism and hate?
  • How and why does it manifest in different communities and specifically towards migrant workers?
  • How do experiences of racism and hate impact migrant workers?
  • How can service providers be connectors and bridge the gap between TFWs and the community they reside in?
  • How can service providers support workers when they experience racism from the community?
  • What are some strategies in getting the community on board and to get buy-in?
