AgSafe: Wildfire Evacuation Checklist

Employers are encouraged to have an evacuation plan prepared in the event that workers (domestic or temporary) need to be evacuated for wildfire, flooding or any other emergency.

If employers need to evacuate temporary foreign workers (TFWs) please also:

  • Notify Service Canada where the workers have moved to (Service Canada contact 1-800-367-5693)
  • Notify the appropriate consulate or liaison service office of the workers moved (some consular contact information)
  • Notify WALI that the workers have moved

Other resources:

Climate & Agriculture Initiative BC has developed a Farm and Ranch Wildfire Workbook for farmers and ranchers to develop a customized wildfire plan.

The BC Ministry of Agriculture, Food & Fisheries has also provided this quick guide with more wildfire resources.

To help you prepare, AgSafe BC has prepared a Wildfire Evacuation Checklist (click below).
