Webinar: Sexual Harassment in Migrant Worker Communities

Sexual harassment is a form of discrimination and is defined as any unwelcome comment or conduct of a sexual nature that may detrimentally affect the work environment or lead to adverse job-related consequences for the victim of the harassment. Sexual harassment can have a serious negative impact on victims. It also impacts others in the workplace who witness it and can negatively affect employee morale and productivity. Sexual harassment may take many forms including verbal, physical and psychological.

In this webinar we will examine the following:

  • What is sexual harassment?
  • What are the different types and forms of sexual harassment?
  • What are the legal implications for a migrant worker experiencing sexual harassment?
  • What are the psychological and mental health impacts on a migrant worker experiencing sexual harassment?
  • Support services for migrant workers who have faced or are facing sexual harassment in the workplace.
  • How to file a sexual harassment complaint.
