On August 15, 2022, AMSSA’s Migrant Worker Hub held a webinar on the topic of The Role of Foreign Consulates in Protecting Migrant Workers, featuring Berenice Diaz Ceballos, Consul General of Mexico and Hugo Velazquez from MOSAIC. In this webinar, the speakers explore the role of consulates in protecting migrant workers from their respective countries in Canada. Consulates play an important role in maintaining connections between employers and migrant workers. Speakers shared best practices on building relationships and collaborating with consulates, all with the goal of providing increased support to migrant workers in Canada
